ITALY: Geoclima has developed a chiller with extendable cylindrical condensers, enabling it to offer double the heat exchange surface on the same footprint.

Specifically designed for data centre cooling applications, MegaCircle has been developed from the concept behind Geoclima’s ground-breaking Circlemiser chiller with its special cylindrical condensers that increase the heat exchange surface by 45%. But in this new configuration, the cylindrical condensers have been designed to be extendable, effectively doubling the heat exchange surface while maintaining the same footprint.

MegaCircle is equipped with eight oil-free centrifugal compressors and four refrigerant circuits for a cooling capacity that reaches 4200/4400kW (1195/1251RT). In addition, because all the condensing sections operate in parallel on several refrigeration circuits, MegaCircle is able to make the most of the surface area of the condensers at partial loads, significantly increasing performance in terms of energy efficiency.

MegaCircle has been designed to use R134a, R513A and R1234ze. Thanks to its configuration, the range is said to be able to achieve an EER of 4.59 (W/W) at 40°C ambient and an EER of 5.34 (W/W) at 35°C.
